This fact-check will verify the authenticity of the image.

Fact-Check

Using Google reverse image search, GhanaFact observed that the image had been shared multiple times on the internet since March 2, 2025 (find here, and here).

Subsequently, the image was shared on other platforms, including X and Reddit, with captions alluding to the United Kingdom’s multiculturalism while others criticised it.

AI-detection

To investigate possible AI manipulation, we submitted the image through Hivemoderation – an AI-generation content detection tool.

The results showed strong signs that the image is AI-generated or a deepfake, as it was rated 97.8%.

GhanaFact observed that beneath the image is a symbol of X’s Grok AI, indicating the image was probably generated using the automated feature.

Also, GhanaFact found a video that shows the UK Prime Minister at the Big Iftar (fast breaking event) on March 4, 2025, which King Charles did not attend, neither was anyone present sitting on a mat nor was the event hosted in a mosque.

Verdict

Therefore, the image is AI-generated.
