A WhatsApp message with an attached link claims that popular Zimbabwean Islamic scholar, Mufti Ismail Menk is offering 100,000 naira giveaway to Nigerians as part of his ongoing charitable and humanitarian efforts for the Ramadan season.
While advertising a 100,000 naira cash giveaway, a portion of the message urges people to click an attached URL to receive 50,000 naira instantly.

FactSpace West Africa investigated the link by filling out the application process that starts from a landing page that congratulates users for being “eligible” to receive a 100,000 naira Ramadan cash gift, and prompts them to click “OK” to activate the reward.
After our analysis, we concluded that the scheme was a scam and the website domain -mufti-foundation-ng.earngo.pro – was registered on November 11, 2025, and is due to expire on the same date this year. Further analysis showed that none of Mufti Menk’s social media handles or his website had any advertisement of a Ramadan giveaway anywhere in the world.
