Fake! Asaase radio quote card saying ‘Miracles Aboagye is not above the law’ is fabricated!

Amid the arrest of Dennis Miracles Aboagye, a Facebook account shared a quote card purportedly from Asaase Radio calling for him to be held accountable. Our checks however show the quote card was altered from an original Asaase Radio quote card.

On July 12, 2026, news reports and social media posts (here, here, and here) reported that Dennis Miracles Aboagye, a former presidential staffer and aide to New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia had been arrested.

Subsequently a Facebook account, Abrahim Bitrim shared a quote card (archived here) purportedly from Asaase Radio that read: Let it be put on record that Dennis Miracle Aboagye is not above the law. He has held public office and must account for his stewardship.”

Our checks show that the post appears to have been altered from a flyer published by Asaase Radio on Sunday, July 12, 2026 with respect to Dennis Miracles Aboagye’s intention to contest for the NPP National Communications Director position.

GhanaFact reached out to Asaase Radio on July 13, a day after the altered flyer was circulated. “Please, it is fake,” the journalist told GhanaFact via telephone. 

Asaase Radio subsequently  published a post on Facebook at about 11:17AM with a “Fake” inscription on the quote card. The post also admonished news readers to verify from official sources only.

Verdict

The quote card is fake (fabricated content) and the claim it carries is False.
