The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for Wa Central, Dr Abdul-Rashid Hasan Pelpuo, has claimed that Cote d’Ivoire’s economic growth rate is better as compared to that of Ghana.
During a guest appearance on Citi TV/FM’s The Big Issue programme – a news magazine programme that analyses the major headlining news stories of the week, on February 24, 2024, he dismissed suggestions that Ghana’s economy was better as compared to other countries in West Africa.
“Look, Cote d’Ivoire was behind Ghana in GDP ratings. Now Cote d’Ivoire has overtaken Ghana. Now it has overtaken Ghana in the last three years. Go check the records and see,” Dr Abdul-Rashid Hasan Pelpuo said between 1:20:12 and 1:20:38.
